Summer School addresses all professionals (dentists, orthodontists, dental technicians) who want to learn more about function and occlusion and who are interested in meeting experts in this field and participate in an scientific education and discussion with them. 

 

The preliminary topics are:

• Comparative evaluation of internationally recognized diagnostic, therapeutic and research approaches
• Detailed reports of patient´s treatment based on interdisciplinary, digital Dentistry (Universitiy Clinic of Dentistry Vienna)
• Mixed-dentition orthodontics
• Bone physiology and condylar resorption
• Dental material science and CAD/CAM techniques and guidelines for ceramic onlays
• Critial discussion of the historical, clinical and technical aspects of condylography
• A novel, overlay-guided approach in orthodontics
• VieSID Research outcomes
• Literature report for the academic year 2021-2022
• Table Clinic in digital dentistry and orthodontics

Introduction to VieSID School of thoughts in Dentistry This special introduction seminar has been placed upfront in the afternoon from 5 to 7pm before the actual start of the VieSID Summerschool 2022. Summerschool is a true VieSID congress. Most of the lectures at the congress are assuming profound knowledge in occlusal medicine also and especially in relation to the VieSID school of thoughts. In order to optimize the learning experience for dental professionals with no or little VieSID experience, this Pre-Summerschool seminar is designed to give a first profound overview to the VieSID philosophy. The lecturers will explain terminology and methods used, lecture diagnostic principles and will, based on case examples, show the logical steps from diagnoses to the causal treatment approaches in occlusal therapies.

The seminar is structured in 3 chapters: Diagnostics & Diagnoses, Occlusion, Treatment

Attendance will be free of extra charge for all Summerschool 2022 participants.

 

Summer School is organised by VieSID in cooperation with the Medical University of Vienna and the University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna.
